I have seen alot of cops suspecting for like "Murder" or "killing cop"
And then a higher ranked cop have unsuspected for "Murder is auto suspect"
I mean. Most of those cops who suspects for "murder" or "killing" doesnt have very good english skills.
That means they maybe doesnt know the word 'Assault' for example so they use Murder instead.
I see it's kinda stupid to just cancelsuspect directly after(That also can make the cops kill the suspect by mistake)
So please stop cancelsuspect when someone is suspected for 'Murder' or 'Killing'. Let them /gu and investigate
Thank you.
SAPD Officer Lance Winston

No... Cops and Admins Cancelsuspect when people suspect for this... The Argonath Scripters put in Auto Suspect... so the crime is given when you kill an officer... Dont suspect for Murder or Killing a Cop!!!!
-
So we who knows it's called 'Assault on Officer' should stop suspect them also and kill them as 'civilians' and loose cash instead?
But sure, When someone shoots me I just ignore to /su and kill him without suspecting.

The point is Suspect him for the crime he is committing... If you were Assaulting me and I suspected you for Bananas should I remain Suspected? Suspect for crime committed.
-
If I'm getting shot at I either suspect people for 'ajgiragra', 'fhghadkjeragb', 'shot' or 'kill'
-
Shoot almost same amount of words as Kill and wont be cancelsuspected!!
-
You are right, there should not be an unsuspect for such reasons unless it has been investigated. Some newer cops suspect for "murder" or "kill cop" as opposed to "shooting" etc...
-
I've seen Administrators cancelsuspect that.

Do this yourself and then learn another xD

If I'm being shot at, I don't bother with adding a warrant for shooting unless the suspect evades from me.
I take the suspect down and accept the $1500 fine. Who cares, I protected myself.
Lets face it, the only reason you'd add a warrant WHILE you're still being shot at is to get paid for killing someone.
-
if im being shot at I try to take cover and suspect them. I consider 'whites' as civilians. I then try to get him arrest. Some guys who roleplay sometimes even /gu. The rest rambos (most of them) enjoy duelling.
-

or avoid losing money
and make the other guy lose 1k

I just hope that after cancelsuspect the admins or officers take te time to explain to the officer why there was a cancel. Not just cancelsuspect and let the player wonder why.

When some new cop suspects them for killing or murdering
The higher ranked cops and/or admins just unsuspect for "Killing is auto suspect" and then return to previous activities

True.
I'm recommending that some kind of command be added so that certain ranks, or the suspecting officer themselves, can change the crime reason. This also helps when cops try to suspect someone quickly, and then later need to retype things out so they are understandable. Abuse of this could be limited so that the officer can change it from anywhere, but they can't use it to suspect someone, and it doesn't affect the /rhl of the suspect.

Learn some english or don't suspect people.

Learn some english or don't suspect people.
I bet your english wasnt 100% good when you joined.
But sure, when someone doesnt know english I'll tell him to f**k off and dont play at all, That sounds better?
-
Learn some english or don't suspect people.
And your crime reasons are absolutely perfect Sergeant? Let me remind you that you, yourself, have used abbreviations and half-ass English to suspect someone quickly when they are fleeing or attacking you, only to correct it later when you have a free moment to do so. We all do it. It's not JUST about how well someone speaks English.
-
I remember Vince once told someone off in /R saying you can't unsuspect for this, due to the reason you pointed out Wake. :v: /Vince

But you are sitting here and saying those who doesnt know english shouldnt suspect at all
Learn some english or don't suspect people.

Guys calm down..

Well they shouldn't. Make an effort to learn the most simple English terms as alternative for "Murder" and "he kill". And if you can't learn, don't suspect people.

Then use your f**king pro english skill and learn those with lower english skill then
Why are you mad though? I'm not an English teacher.
-
I'm not mad.
But just learn them those 'simple' english terms then, It takes max 5minutes, But yeah.

Why should only Kirby or Sgts or one specific person do them and not you or me ?
If you see any freecop suspect for "murder" , PM them! You can make a change too!

We're all part of SAPD, and its everyone's responsibility to help these new cops, or cops with lesser english knowledge. :cop:
-
It wasnt directed to any specific rank. But as it is Kirby who is arguing that they shouldnt be suspecting at all I was directing it to him
-
"Passing the ball" or digging down "who did this" doesnt matter, actions and results matter, which can be performed and brought about any member of the community :)

Maybe they are trying to? Obviously if they aren't typing the crimes in their own language, they are doing the best that they can. Have you ever tried to learn another language? It's not easy. Keep in mind, too, that English is one of the more difficult ones, especially when it's not your first language.
-
This thread is now about Kirby thinking his english is good.

This is a warning to stop with the flaming and trolling. I just moderated one post. Do I need to do another? This is the General Discussion forum. Fix your attitudes.

Yes, I've tried learn four language at once, Spanish, Lithuanian, Norwegian and English. And I still doing so!

Final warning. The next person to go off-topic and flame is getting administrated.
-
Yes, I aggre it should not get unsuspected, it's not very polite without knowing exact reason. :v:
-
Wake has been muted due to the extreme flaming, including that against forum administration, which has been removed. If anyone else attempts to make another flame, you will be muted as well.

No. Don't tell me how to do my job and I won't tell you how to do your's. You weren't actively speaking in this topic earlier when users were flaming each other. You don't see it now because I removed some posts and edited others. If you guys can't stay calm and discuss it like civil people, I will step in and fix it. It's reasons exactly like this that causes so many unneeded arguments here. I'm not going to stand for it. Now let me say it again, get back on topic.

Anyways, we need an official statement whether suspecting for 'ahniralhdnafln' or 'KILL' when getting shot at is allowed or not.
I wouldn't want to suspect people for 'Malicious breaching of the Argonath state laws regarding firearm usage and rules of engagement.' every time someone pulls a combat on me.
Post moderated again due to re-added taunt. Stay on topic. ~SugarD~

Edit: Final warning Kirby. I removed your post without administrating you to answer your question: Yes, and I do. Look what forum we are in. This is not specific to SAPD. Please stay on topic.

I agree. An official statement was made awhile back for SAPD, but they pulled it without telling anyone. This somewhat relates to the old incidents where users used to suspect for police codes rather than crimes, which was disallowed as well.
-
Yes it's allowed, as long as you edit it after your life is no longer in danger.
SugarD, calm down man..
-
Calm down bro
Suspections need to be detailed so this doesn't happen anyways.
-
I've seen Administrators cancelsuspect that.
Use [email protected].
Why should admins be reported if its not even clear whether or not that crime is valid?
Back in MTA:VC, people would get unsuspected for settings crimes such as "murder" or "copkiller" as those are automatically set crimes. Likewise in SA:MP, I can see why admins unsuspect for that, and I do not see how they are breaking any rules - as there is no set rule relating to this. And that is why this thread was created...
-
Honestly the admins are just doing their job, but yes; everyone involved should be informed exactly why they were unsuspected and at times I've seen 'invalid crime - resuspect for correct crime- and this works to a degree.
I also agree, if being shot at; I will not give the criminal the liberty to gun me down when they had no chance in the first place. I will shoot them first and if I can suspect them without it being detrimental to any other officers lives or mine, I shall and then take them down with the necessary amount of force to subdue them.
-
Wake's first post is correct, in my opinion.
If someone is /su'ed for a crime which does exist, regardless of whether the person did it, they must /gu and ask for investigation. Murder is a crime, so should be investigated.
If a person is /su'ed for a 'crime' which does not exist, or in other terms, is not a crime, then they should be unsuspected as the crime is invalid.
Murder falls into the first of these two categories, so should therefore be investigated properly.
