Title: Guidelines and Installation Emergency Lights Mod V7
Post by: Nexxt on October 20, 2009, 00:49:38 am
In this topic, I want to clear some issues about installing the Emergency Lights Mod V7

What does the Emergency Lights Mod V7 do?
Basicly the only thing the Emergency Lights Mod V7 does, is changing your carlights to a flashing one.
And when you have installed a carmod, they will also possibly change your lightbar when this one is working.
REMEMBER: This doesn't give any advantage on your gameplay, so you are free to use it.

What version I should use?
You are only allowed to use Emergency Lights Mod V7 , previous versions will affect your gameplay and cause advantages.
Using of these versions will get your BANNED

Who can see it?
Everyone in the server can see your lightmod, whatever carmod you have installed, whatever you have changed in your settings.

What is not allowed?
1. If any secondary effects are noticed that influence the handling, hp or vulnerability of the car, the player noticed will be instantly banned. Repeated bans will lead to a full and permanent disallowing of the mod.

2. If players are found to be lagging as a result of the mod being used, and this is a noticeable effect, the mod will be disallowed.

3. If any player using the mod will take the usage as the mod as proof he was asking to pullover, surrender or any other duty 'because you could see the lights flashing' he will be punished for mod/script abuse. If this happens repeatedly, the mod will be disallowed.

4. If we find that RP groups like FBI or ARPD are taking the mod in to their rules of procedures, there by forcing their members to install it, the mod will be banned instantly.

How to install the mod

Step 1:
Download CLEO3 and Emergency Lights Mod V7:

Click here (http://www.dillimorepd.com/ELMV7/cleo3.exe) to download CLEO3
Click here (http://www.dillimorepd.com/ELMV7/EmergencyMod.zip) to download ELM V7 - All credits of this mod goes to SAESAndy

Step 2:
Make a back-up of the following files, and put them in a folder you know where to find.
You can find those files in your main GTA:SA folder ("..\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\")

- gta_sa.exe
- vorbis.dll
- vorbidFile.dll

Step 3:
Install your CLEO3

Doubleclick on Cleo3.exe and open the installation program:

After opening the installation program, click on "Next" , as screen with the "License Agreement" will show up.
Click on "I accept the agreement" and click on "Next" again.

On the next screen chose the path of your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (standard "..\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\"
and when set it, click on "Next" again.

There will be showen up a menu where to chose from different ways of your installation.
To install CLEO3 on a SAFE way, chose for "Custom installation" and make sure your only selected the GXT Hook as CLEO plugin

On the next screen, you will be asked, if you want to update your CLEO3 mod.
Skip this part and click on "Next"

For the last time is gives your a overview of your chosen settings.
If you did all, like I explained on this tutorial then click on "Next"

You should have succesfully installed your CLEO 3 mod

Step 4:
Install your Emergency Lights Mod V7

Go to the folder, where you did save your "EmergencyMod.zip".
Open the file with a program like WinRAR and extract it in your same folder.

Doubleclick on "Emergency Mod" and doubleclick on "CLEO"
You should now see these files:

Copy "gta_sa.exe", "vorbis.dll" and "vorbisFile.dll" to your main GTA:SA Folder
Copy and paste all files in the CLEO folder to "..\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\CLEO" folder.
At the end your ..\CLEO folder should look like:

If this is what you have, you have succesfully installed your the Emergency Lights Mod V7

Controls:

F12: Switch on/off your Emergency Lights
F11: Open menu to change your patterns
Capslock or H: To chose your pattern in F11
F10: To turn off your lights

To avoid crashed of your game:

- Always press F12 before leaving your car alone
- Use a no-cd cracked gta_sa.exe

There's a new set of files that come with ELM that you have to use, and if you don't find a version with the correct one, it's the CD CRACKED version of San Andreas v1.0, and I can distribute them if you cannot find them:

gta_sa.exe
vorbis.dll
vorbisfile.dll

need to be replaced by the ELM versions, otherwise it will not work.

The reason you need this is because CLEO is built on a cd-cracked vorbisfile.dll, which means any other version of the vorbisfile.dll will not allow the CLEO mod, including ELM to load or start.

I found this out when my CLEO didn't work until I cd-cracked, and then it worked just fine. Replaced my cd-cracked version of the .exe with the plain v1, and it did not work. Replaced with cd-crack, and it worked.

This only effects if it doesn't work in game. If you game is not loading/crashing, it's something else. This is only if it doesn't turn on while IN GAME!!

Everybody has them, you just have to have the correct version. If you mean they're in the CLEO folder when you downloaded it, then put them in your san andreas folder. REMEMBER TO MAKE A BACK UP OF EVERY SINGLE FILE BEFORE REPLACING IT!!

Updated.

Added 3 files to the EmergencyMod.zip to fix the crash on start-up.
(gta_sa.exe, vorbis.dll, vorbisFile.dll)

All credits of this mod goes to SAESAndy - hosted on own domain because of added files to fix it.

Creating a backup did not help.

Creating a backup did not help.

1. Do you have a cracked gta_sa.exe?
2. Are you able to join, without the mod?

1. No
2. No, not SAMP.
I just deleted everything related to CLEO. it still doesnt work.

- Use a no-cd cracked gta_sa.exe

Let me reiterate, it is not illegal or harmful for that matter to use a cracked gta_sa.exe file (just be sure the place you download it from is legit.)  It is to prevent a persons game from crashing after enabling the CLEO program with the light mod installed.

D.P, you have to replace the "cracked" .exe file with your original.  The backup you place on your desktop or somewhere safe in case it messes your computer/game up.

Okay, the fact that you JUST SAID that you don't have a cracked gta_sa.exe when everything above says to use a cracked version, and then you said that it still doesn't work, is common sense. Maybe it doesn't work because you're not using the cracked version, as said was required?

I've made a discovery while testing out the mod Yesterday.
When you've activiated it while being in the driver seat, it works fine and its synced to everyone. Meaning it can be seen by all.
Now when you leave the driver seat, it loses synch and can no longer be seen by anyone but you. Sitting in the passenger side while its going will not change this.

Just figured I would tell you guys. Sorry if im late on this.

This was possible solution for Dr_Pepper.

That was done to reduce server load.

You need to edit the model.
And no, I can't do that.

Activate your lights by pressing the F12 key. Once activated you can change your light pattern using the programmed 7 choices. To do that use your arrow keys to go up and down then select the one you want by pressing your horn key.

Buddy, if you're wanting to get a vehicle to replace your police cruiser(s) in-game, as shown in the video promoting ELM V7, then you're not looking at Cleo.  All this modification does is allow your cruiser(s) lights to flash like on a real-life police car.  It has nothing to do with changing, editing, or replacing your vehicle models in-game.
