LVPD
« on: June 15, 2010, 05:17:36 am »
So I've heard many rumors for several months about Las Venturas Police Department opening? As im currently of Las Venturas and Las Vegas itself in real life, I was wondering if these rumors are true, and that LVPD does plan on opening, as I feel it would be awesome RP to work for the department that I actually live in.

Current Command Staff:

Chiefs:

Pancher
CBFasi

Deputy Chief:

Vince
Austin

Captain:

Matrixbob
Giac

Lt:

Ben Samiir
Smey
Boozman
Flameman
Rory
Wayne

Each department is supposed to have one captain and three Lt's(If we act on that LSPD got three)

There are three departments without full command staff, and we need the following to just get enough command staff to run the current departments:

1 More captain
3 more Lt's

I can't see a LVPD opening yet, as that would mean we would need to promote TWO captains(if Vince gives away LSPD to a captain that is) and SIX Lieutenants before we have enough command staff.

Hope that made sense, tired as f**k. Also, this is just what I'm thinking about the matter, I dont know what's going on in the command boards :)

I think the SAPD needs to organise how many people in each rank there should be.
and how many people in each department. The LSPD has 3 Lieutenants whereas DPD has 1.

No. Las Venturas is Dillimore PD's juristiction right now. We have a hugass area that we have to patrol and maintain, and its a bit much. I would love to see LVPD to be created and settle in Las Venturas. Ofcourse i speak of all the DPD partypeople if i say that we would still be more then happy to help out. From 207's to simple trafficstops to patrols. We'll be happy to help*

Ok I have a novel Idea, ARPD has at least what 8-12 sergeants? Why don't we take them and just have them Lead LVPD. Don't promote anyone to Captain don't give any extra anything just give em them the Pd and some Officers. Or you could just do this with like 2 Lt's

And you expect all these 8-12 sergeants to have the same views on stuff?

There is currently no progress with LVPD, and there will not be any until a suitable leader is found.

LVPD was a work in progress months ago and I doubt it will go anywhere anytime soon due to what Vince said. Alan also has a point of not enough command staff (or active command staff) to effectively lead it.

And just to elaborate for our oh-so-curious members here is the downlow on LVPD...

Originally announced, it was to be lead by Jay Adams, when many of you were at the SAPD ceremony in SF that long time ago when Pancher announced that LVPD would be opening shortly.. After that Jay Adams left after SWAT issues and that court case, etc.

Then James Hunter came back, assuming he would be sticking around for some time he was given the role of preparing LVPD to be lead by himself and had made preparations to do so, sadly he then went inactive.

When Jay Adams was allowed back again there was a high chance he would be leading LVPD this time. He left again. He did not.

As I said, we now do not have a leader for LVPD of whom is suitable and we are sure will not abandon the project. There's also no use in going "oh I can do it!!" as there are certain requirements to be met, as well as being active...

I fixed your typo.

How about you guys work on fixing the current departments command staff by promoting users suitable for positions that are already filled, and then move the current staff to LVPD? Figure out which current staff would like to go, and then watch and see who deserves a promotion. This would solve the overfilled departments as well as the ones with holes, and would make everyone happy in the end. It just takes some work. If you're willing to go that route, I'll help in any way I can to monitor for such users.
