SAPD Academy
Opinions

Due to some recent changes in my position in the SAPD, I will be attempting to improve the Academy to not only better the current applicants, but also be an easier work environment for our current Instructors. So I figured there is no better place to ask then the men and women who serve the SAPD as Officers. So here's your change to make changes to the Academy. Please answer the provided poll and leave a comment below on what you like, dislike, or want to improve. Off topic comments will be deleted and user will be warned. This is strictly for Academy business only because I value your opinion and really want to improve it the best way possible.

Thanks for your help and contributions.

Signed,
Chief Boozman

As I have voted, things are good but they can be better.

The Academy is doing as well as it is right now, because of Boozman and the various people running it, instructor and examiners. That is my opinion.

I voted "I like it, but it could be improved."

One of the things that would improve our effeciency is some sort of requirement an instrcutor has to meet Weekly or monthly. Lets say each instructor has to have given 10 lesson a month and the best instrcutor of that month will be receive a small reward for their hard work.

I like that actually. One thing I want to focus on during some improvements are proper rewards for the hard-working ones, if you catch my drift.

Hmm, perhaps we can try making sessions a bit more pratical? I know that's up to the instructors themselves, but perhaps we could include more pratical activities on the session plan? Just throwing some ideas there. I like how it's going so far though.

Another thing I'm working on. This is actually the first thing I've started to plan our, more practical sessions.

See with this, i would prefer all my cadets to install teamspeak (Mic is not neccasry) this way i can do practical lessons very efficent and faster, with typing it will be time consuming and could be abit annoying explaining things.

While that would be easier, we cannot enforce the use of Teamspeak on anyone.

Although I think we should highly recommend it for faster easier sessions.

Something I haven't properly addressed is the use of the training session guides. My idea is that are, for all intensive purposes, guides and not a copy paste sources. I see that a lot of the staff just copy exactly what is on the guides. We can use any old robot or piece of paper for that. I think that instructors should really go into depth about the sessions and make it like a real class lesson. Sessions can go on for a long time if you really get into detail.

I'll continue this when I get home, I have to get back to work for three hours.

I think SAPD Academy ins going good. BUT about the exams failed, I think SAPD Academy ins doing the best for ALL cadets dont fail that exam. If They fail is probably because they try to RUSH for get his exam.
