Court Letter - Three SAPD Attorneys
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:37:40 am »
Hello,

The SAPD Should present Three state attorneys at the Court. These attorneys will be the only ones able to create cases in the Criminal Courts and to input Criminal Charges. These Attorneys Should know the constitution perfectly and know how to interpret it, Also should have knowledge about the Argonath Court and the Government.

Thanks, Main Judge Louis Keyl.

And to clarify Something:

Only Lieutenants+ Are allowed to approve Official undercover operations, in which any crime committed on this operation will be Excused from the Eyes of the Law as long there is a good purpose behind the crime (I.E: Drug bust on known mafia member). If any undercover officer performs operations without the direct authorization of the Lieutenant, The court will take the acts of the officer as CRIMINAL and an Actus Reus will be declared on the case, ruling it invalid.

So essentially, any and all drug busts must be approved before a go ahead is given?

I'm assuming this is in response to the filing against the SAPD recently by Mike Hawk?

Won't speak much.

However, just because a crime family makes a legal front, of assumingly legal services, doesn't mean they are separated from the crimes they comit - despite them telling they aren't associated. Nor does it change the fact that Hans do commit crimes.

I'd assume so. They don't want rogue officers going out alone without approval and doing busts without first getting evidence and notifying the courts of their actions. Otherwise, you're basically going outside the scope of your duties.

I think it was in reference to the previous statement that Moose referred too.

About how a prior request was made for SAPD Attorneys.

Oh alright I see how it is. Just sayin' that last topic that was posted ended up with Mario Rinna ridiculing the whole system of attorneys and then it fell deep into a pile of pages back.

So just for clarification, the attorneys will be the ones making the cases representing SAPD against criminal organizations (example) just like in real life? Again, just wanting to clarify as there was a whole controversy back in the old topic.

Any SAPD Senior Officer or above may apply to be an SAPD Attorney. You must send a reason why you wish to be selected as one as well as your knowledge of the constitution of the United States of Argonath. The minimum requirement is two paragraphs. One paragraph is considered 5-6 sentences. The minimum amount you must be serving is at least 6 months - 1 year from the time you first received Senior Officer rank. This is to ensure only the experienced can represent us in cases. Please send all applications to my inbox via forum PM with the subject "SAPD Attorney Application".

And you failed to try and correct yourself after saying and removing "tehehehe". ;)

Anyway please no more off-topic, I don't want this topic to turn out like the previous.

I'm not. I was answering Janar's question.

Vince, may I recommend moving this to a SA:MP SAPD Command board and making a topic where they can apply? When they check this, the first thing they are going to see is the discussion. I would make a fresh topic with the information so it's attention-grabbing and they see it immediately.

@The courts: Is this just for SA:MP SAPD, or is it going to later be required for all other PD's as well?
