SugarD, this clearly has nothing to do about favoritism to one server, almost EVERY bored has moved around to strange orderings, it could possibly just be a bug, or an issue with a plugin as you identified.

EG as you will see, HQ, is above MTA:VC, there is no logic in that.

The SAPD public board is bellow all others. Report to leaders is in the middle, etc.

I'm sure it is just a bug and maybe also has something to do with the old Board creation error.

I'm not just referring to this single incident. This has been a long-time issue across the community.

A friend made a perfect quote to prove the point:

Quote
No one asks what the SA:MP server's IP is anymore. It's always, 'What's the server's IP?'
This has been evident in board orders even long before this mess. Popularity should not be a factor in the ordering of a board. In fact, it's not. If it were, as was told to me several times by previous admins that it was, IV:MP would be second in the order, and it's dead last.

Let's not start this :D Like Lt.Balls said, it might be a bug.

But that's not the point of this thread, so lets stay on topic?

SugarD there is no favouritism towards SA:MP, our boards are as messed up as yours.
And about the quote you took, it makes perfect sense, which server of Argonath is most populated one ?
SA:MP, so some people take SA:MP as the so called "the server".

SA:MP, so some people take SA:MP as the so called "the server".

"The server" implies they were already discussing a SA:MP-related subject when asked. I get MSN messages daily of ex-MTA:VC and VC:MP users who straight up ask what "the server's IP is". That makes no sense at all. The community KNOWS we have multiple servers. They recognize it. Out of bad habit they have assumed that SA:MP is the only one anyone cares about. It's popularity allows for some leeway in that regard, but this shouldn't be so bad that it happens multiple times a day. That is just one example of it too. Popularity does not rule this community, the Server Owners and the Vision do.

Anyway, as Reece said, this isn't the place, so I'll cool it on the anger venting here for the time being. I don't want to get us anymore off-topic than we already are.

As for the forum itself, has anyone else noticed any new issues? I've gotten reports that LU's LCPD Chief and LCPD Captain are unable to see most of their LU boards. Anyone else receiving abnormal board visibility problems?

Thread view counts have disappeared, and on the index, the Users Online Today mod is broken.

AM/PM indexes are still broken, as well. Ugh...

"Only."

There shouldn't be boards missing to begin with.

Agreed. This forum is a mess. I wish we could just archive the database and start all over fresh, redesigning this thing correctly. There are so many issues constantly popping up every few months that it makes my head want to explode.

As for breaking some mods, as the update through the admin panel did not work, I updated y a downloaded package. It seems that it contained much more as the uto update, so it is being reversed.

Regarding breaking of database, no idea there as it was not touched...

Must be something related to it then. Membergroup editing is messed up. It claims the boards visible are the same thing as before boards messed up.

2.0.2 also gave awful bugs to the BCSD forums for all people who did not have rights to view every board...when topics go to page two, the post dates/order are swapped around.

I have no idea how the forum just turned out like that. Woke up and see it all mixed up, and logs do not show anything on who changed it.
However as Gandalf stated, the update might of caused it. But i have no hell idea how an update can cause it.  :trust:

Note!

This may take awhile while i fix it. Seems like the boards panel is broken as-well.

Fixed after some working out - All boards should be restored and back to normal
