Your application has been accepted into the SAPD Cadet Academy - in this academy you will learn the core values and procedures that a SAPD Officer must learn and embrace to be able to be the absolute best he possibly can. You will be observed ingame by every member of the SAPD, so it is YOUR responsibility to act professionally at ALL times!

From the moment you are accepted onwards, you should be learning the regulations and procedures to be able to carry out your cop work to the absolute best of your ability - this will give you the skills and experience to make it into the SAPD and to continue to be the best cop you possibly can be. The SAPD is not for everyone, so checking out the regulations and procedures will also give you a chance to see whether or not you're cut out for the SAPD or not.

You are NOW a SAPD Cadet, and you are expected to behave and work in a respectful way to the General Public and your fellow police officers. Failure to do so could result in the termination of you from the SAPD.

The academy will consist of 9 sessions, one pre-exam exam and your officer exam, which can be given to you from any Academy Senior Member or SAPD Command Staff Member. (Lt +).

IMPORTANT! You must reply at LEAST once per week in your application topic to let us know how you're going or if you have any questions, or else you risk being rejected from the SAPD due to lack of interest. It's your responsibility to show your activity, NOT ours.

Finnaly To Avoid Confusion I want to inform you that you can start requesting lessons on 12/03/2011. The reason for this is our 7 day waiting period. Please do not request lessons before this prescribed date. This is just an Informative message.

Contact a Captain+ Ingame for your badge.

Good luck in your steps to becoming an Officer!

Signed,
Sergeant Kenny
SAPD Application Manager
Retired Captain..

Session 1*
Introduction to San Andreas Police Department
Overview:
This is the first of the Academy Sessions available to be taken in the SAPD Academy. Here is where you will introduce the student to various activities the SAPD participate in as well as our roles within the United States of Argonath. This is also where we will explain what will be taught during the next few days in the academy. Mostly talk and explanations are done here.

Role as a Police Officer:
As an officer of the San Andreas Police Department we are here to make sure Argonath is kept peaceful.
Our role here is the make sure that the delinquency that is committed in San Andreas is brought to justice.

Activities of a Police Officer:
Police officers have many duties they are required to fulfill.
Some Activities include (but not limited to):
Traffic Stops
Vehicle and Person searches
Vehicle Pursuits
911 Calls
Search Warrants
Arrest Warrants
Assisting neighboring agencies (FBI, ARFD, etc.)
Fulfilling your civic right as a civilian
Ensuring Argonath remains peaceful

Overview upcoming sessions:
Session 2: Introduction to Role Play, Patrol Techniques and Ethics
Session 3: /r - /e - Radio Procedure, Police/Fire/EMS, First Aid & CPR
Session 4: Traffic Enforcement, Vehicle Laws, Defensive Driving, Pursuits, and Code 3
Session 5: Firearms, Firearm Safety, Use of Force, Firearm Laws, Code 30's, Shots Fired
Session 6: The Jails, the Jail System, Investigations/Interrogations, Miranda Rights, Attorneys, and Prisoner-Booking Procedures.
Session 7: Report Writing, Search Warrants. What is "Arrest", "Detention", and Consensual Contacts. How to investigate without getting sued.
Session 8: Burglary, Robbery, and Theft
Session 9: Ride Along, Drive Along, and "Last Bits"
Session 10: Testing on all 9 Sessions

Session 2*
Introduction to Role Play, Patrol Techniques and Ethics
Overview:
Session 2 focuses on how an officer is to handle himself/herself in the line of duty. It will consist of teaching the students "the basics".

Police Role Play:
The job of a Police officer is to apprehend perpetrators, not kill them. In order to fulfill this, an officer will be required to use the lowest amount of force necessary, Offer a fair and balanced investigation, inform the suspect of his municipal rights, and ensure that the proper amount of justice is served to the community of Argonath

Patrolling:
Officers should try and always patrol highly congested areas with large amounts of activity because they are most known for criminal activity.
Some Highly Active Areas include the Following:
Pershing Square / LSPD - Los Santos
Market - Los Santos
The LV Strip - Las Venturas
LVPD Area - Las Venturas
Queens - San Fierro
SFPD Area - San Fierro
Try not to roam too far away from highly congested areas in case a High Profile call is made.
Response time could be a matter of life and death (Depending on the call).

Pull overs during patrolling:
Pulling over a car can be for many reasons. They could be speeding 95km/h in an 80 zone, they could be be driving recklessly down the road, or they could be driving in the wrong lane. There is a large variety of traffic violations that can be committed. Our job is to correct them by commencing a pull over on the offender of the violation.
If bad guy throws a rock on you, don't throw it back- it will change you into criminal as well.
