Border And Immigration Team
BAIT

The SAPD has started development an Official faction: Border And Immigration Team (BAIT). This will be developed from the high octane, RP driven legacy of the infamous Immigration Patrol.

The Immigration Patrol Guidelines will form the basis of this Division but will be continually developed and evolved. I urge all applicants to have a look through these guidelines to get an idea of how this will operate.

As this division is currently in development, BAIT will be looking for an initial member base including leadership roles. To show your interest complete the form below and PM to myself or post here.

How many Immigration Patrols have you been involved in? Uhh... there's been a quite a few, more than 5 probably.
What did you do in the Immigration Patrols? E.g. Roadblocks, deportations, sting operations Sting operations to catch illegal immigrants(/ad selling tacos at 69 cent store), deportations, that's about it.
Previous Law Enforcement Experience:Been an officer before, was in SASD, probably a cop for a little over a year now.
Why would you like to become BAIT?I'd like to become bait because I like RPing a redneck and being able to involve it with law enforcement. I love the RP that the immigration patrol does, been involved in every one I could.

Thanks for those who have already shown interest. The names have been forwarded to the chief and meet the minimum requirement.

We are currently waiting for the Chief to review the basic rules and conduct draft.

Unfortunately though for the time being, you have to be an SAPD Officer + to be accepted as an official rank of BAIT (as cadet). HOWEVER do not let this concern you, as all operations will be open to the public irrelevant of rank. By attending the operations you will have a much larger advantage in joining and obtaining a leading role.

The current rank system will be devised as:

Commissioner - Leader and Overseer of BAIT
Deputy Commissioner - Adviser(s) to the Commissioner and Co Leader(s)
Inspector - Experienced BAIT players who have passed all examinations. Will take leadership roles in operations.
Cadet - Those who are still in training.

There may be more in the future to accommodate. The Inspector rank will not be very easy to achieve. It should be more challenging than the SAPD recruitment as it will depend more on the players RP skills, but the actual testing will be designed so that it is not tedious and slow like the SAPD system, and will be more fun and varied. By the end of training, all Inspectors will have the skills required to form their own BAIT Operations without help from the leaders.

What did you do in the Immigration Patrols? Roadblocks, deportations, operations, patrols, executions.
Previous Law Enforcement Experience: ARPD Officer for about 4 months. As well as Cadet.
Why would you like to become BAIT? I feel that I have done a lot in SAPD, and I always want to try out new things. I've been patroling with Jcs for a few times, and he's a nice guy to lead this Division.

Yeah , but there are lot of unofficial groups that actually has a POINT!

I mean BAIT are useless, since Argonath doesnt require passport and if you dont have one you cant be suspected.. So ...

Since a forum bug is disallowing to get some forum space, tomorrow most likely I will make a temporary topic in general Discussion which will contain all BAIT matters ( temporarily).

Those who have contacted me about BAIT will be formally accepted as cadet ranks and we will begin with our training and events to get up to speed. A little patience may be required and it is a little frustrating that I will be going on holiday next Friday, so will try to get some organization done before then!

Your argument is useless, because you have forgotten that there is the freedom of roleplay on Argonath, if one wants to act as an illegal immigrant, they can. You are forgetting BAIT will also be trained in Airborne and Waterborne (Aircrafts/Boats) situations and also make checkpoint stops around highways.
You are forgetting this is for role play - Something creative to offer for new officers, not just following a set of usual views, but following through agreement of both sides which want such role play, which is harmless if both agree on doing such. Today many people want to role play with BAIT and actually become illegal immigrants, because they find it amusing and a good role play to spend time in.
The groups which you are talking about which have a 'point' are usually the assault groups which we no longer need due to presence of SWAT, and others which go into deep investigation work, where instead we want to co-operate with the FBI.
