State of SAPD
« on: June 15, 2008, 12:37:03 pm »
As some are aware I called a short notice meeting yesterday to say a few things...

I have received too many reports and witnessed too much law abuse and server abuse from SAPD members, that is Cadets AND Officers.

This includes abuse of /su, abuse of script such as use of /tickle!!, and just as bad failing to follow Argonath Laws.

SAPD is here to enforce the Law of Argonath, and that means WE should be follow those laws.

In real terms if an Officer of the Law brakes the Law even something as simple as driving on the WRONG side of the road when its unnecessary they can LOOSE their License and be forced to do office work or foot patrol....  I have seen this happen!!!  (Friends boyfriend ended up on office work for 6 months!!!).

What this all means for SAPD..

ANY SAPD member can get instantly suspended or demoted by a chief without prior notification.
ALL the SAPD chiefs are admin’s and can watch you WITHOUT you knowing so if they get any information that they might be watching you….

A number of SAPD staff will be asked to watch out for problems, they will not be promoted or anything silly to make them obvious, you will not know who they are, one might even be the guy sitting next to you in a squad car.

Abuse of Rank against juniors will be reacted upon VERY heavily.
We work as team and must do all we can to avoid ‘friction’ or disagreement.  If you disagree try and sort it out WITHOUT going into flame mode or if its likely to do so BOTH sides report to a more senior officer who will try to resolve the matter.  I have had to do this and it works as both parties may have realized afterwards.

Many Officers seem to have forgotten all the training they received to become an officer, even some who have been in just for a short time.  If this is seen to be the case regulary then demotion WILL take place and you will have to go through training all over again AND will loose your position in the rank structure.

Also do NOT be afraid to help freecops, we where all there once and some yes need lots of work but some are good enough to be SAPD (in fact some are better than some current SAPD members!)

Stealing work from others, or jailing another’s criminal is not going to be tolerated.  Also if a team if involved in jailing or taking down a suspect SHARE the money, yes I know its not much but it gives recognition for the help and will increase teamwork.

Do NOT think you are safe, because there are plenty enough SAPD members who want chance to do your job.

You can even PULL over OTHER police if you find them braking the laws.  Advice them they are doing so and if they keep doing it REPORT to a chief.

Last thing I want to see is a server FULL of cadets or freecops because of lack of skill and ability of the SAPD.

We are here to also HELP Argonath civilians.  We do NOT just go around looking for trouble but also to HELP others, you may think a question such as where can I go in driver duty, or where is a atm is for a admin to answer… well in the real world you can get asked questions like that…  If we are seen to help more it may give some respect back to the police.

This means I will become rather unpopular with many but if we get a SAPD who is respected by its own members and others outside then its worth it!!

Oh yes I almost forgot.....

Do not think...

I dont need to go by SAPD rules as I can be a freecop....

Because there will be the ability to stop even this as required, in the future.....

It seems we have to whip into shape this force before ARPD loose all respect in San Andreas.

Chief CBFasi's words are clear, so everybody start doing his job well.

thats better, we dont want any abuse, all ARPD members should know and follow the rules.

it really hurts to see that ARPD officers abuse things,

they dont deserver to be part of ARPD

I have my aim on some officers and seniors already, so beware. If I catch you in abuse or rulebreaking, the chiefs will most likely demote you or kick your ass.

AR-SAPD is a team of professional cop roleplayers and we must have discipline. The SAPD seniors have the goal to acomplish that mission now and you can be sure we will, no matter what / who tries to stop us.

Yes very well spoken cb. As I seen as well some of the "old" members of the ARPD causing us to be less professional as the rules somehow dont apply to them. (new members too) Its good that people now will understand were NOT messing around anymore for abusers (/su command or beating innocents) People who are greedy for money, or people who think they are right against other normal cops just because they have a higher rank. NO matter what rank you are you still have to hear the other persons side and they still can be right..So hopefully all that need to hear this out there now understand it.

Its all very well agreeing with this announcement, as all of you probably would, but its time to put words into action.

From now on, when there are no suspects on the server, try and interact with citizens more to see if they have any problems and help them out with directions etc.

Honestly, we are clamping down hard on the ones who are not doing their job correctly, make sure your not one of them.

Read the announcement, look at your own actions, and make the appropriate changes to your style of work to ensure your not at risk from losing your position.

i remember neuron_stracci carjacking my civilian car and saying "i need it for police job".. lol. ANY way of carjacking is forbidden so if someone carjacks your heli, REPORT. Its your own will whether to give it or not.
