Spreading rumors to start arguments will only get you into trouble. I suggest the next time you post, you be careful about what you say. Insulting the ARPD Commissioner and making up lies about his decisions is not a smart idea.

I think Chase is pretty damn experienced in Teamwork, tactics and what makes a team not die multiple times. He has been the FBI Deputy Director for years, and in the FBI for almost 4 years. I'd say that's experience enough.

I do not want to argue or contradict with anyone but in my opinion Ben Samiir was by far the best SWAT commander because of his skills and...everything.It was a pleasure to serve under his lead.
I cannot have an impression about Chase as I did not seen him in his new position but I am talking about the past.

My opinion about ben's tactical leadership is not a hidden message. As you may all know (or not know) ben does get work done when its time to put in work, he knows how to pick cops into his team, spend countless hours a day training them to perfect the team on the field and actually lead it.

We saw this by example when SRU was created which appeared to be the most advanced tactical team which achieved high results on the field, to be honest the criminal underworld was turned up side down while we operated in the city during the period of 20010-2011.

Maybe i don't see an overall image of why ben was needed to be removed by in my eyes SWAT was doing a good job. I just hope Chase can live upto the reputation of the current SWAT and preserve the image the criminals have about SWAT.

From time to time leaders of an organisation do make mistakes in certain aspects, in this case i think SWAT should not have been included in this change up but be patient guys, time will show us the end result.

Not even near the days when James Hunter or Jay Adams were leading SWAT.

SRU has been around since late 09' if I'm not wrong. It was originally formed in the SRU, comprised of about 5-6 original members.

And as should always be assumed, in discussion such as these, they are opinions and not facts.

I've had my mouth shut for a long time now, so I'll let a bit of what I personally think slip.

SWAT the squad of the SAPD that has always been the most feared by criminals and revered among the SAPD. They've adapted and changed with what was needed in the servers life, as far as I've seen and they did a brilliant job so far. The most active and effective period I've seen for SWAT was the last team. I've been in SWAT since the last reformation and have gone through every damned kind of training possible for them.

Tactical, traditional, street and most of everything you could think of.

My opinion on Chase and the choices made in the current SWAT? I'll keep that to myself.

Also if these decisions are for the "good" of SAPD why hasn't Jaaskaa even posted a "good" reason as to why these changes were made
He did. It helps if you read:

I did read it, there's still no reason for the demotions/firings

Listen up!

This is not the kind of things I like doing but I have to. Several changes will hit SAPD this weekend. I do not know how long it will take to implent. But I know one thing. A lot of people will not be happy. Some will be mad, some will be sad. But the script is already decided. My job here is to make sure the transition will be as effective as possible when next script comes out. I don't have a release date but I have been requested to start making changes according to the plans I  discussed with the President. I will not reveal up ahead what is comming. I know already that there will be complaints. But no matter how much you complain, you will have to live with it and adapt. I have been given a strong line to follow and I will enforce it. The very least I can expect is your support. We shouldn't stop in front of a challenge, we should work together to get the best out of it.

There will be a triple change this weekend, at different levels. You might wake up a morning with a different rank... I am not sorry about it, because I am only doing my job. Do yours and we will live happy forever. Yes you might get angry or sad and might want to quit SAPD. But think about it! It is not because your rank was removed today that it means we don't want you there. It will be removed because for the moment we can't keep you in the position. Your department might get altered or dissolved. Expect it. You might get promoted too. If needs arise.

Understand. Even Ronnel and I had to discuss many hours as I disagreed with alot of things he proposed. But in the end, I have to admit I got interested into it. I did free my mind from current perceptions and decided to apply a passive minding into which I would only project the idea and not think of the current organization. And it was fun. I hate change. But this promise to be a new interesting challenge. We are here because we want to face the challenge. Together we will.

I still know after all of this some will get real mad and sad and depressed... At this point all I can say is : Roll with us or quit. There is no compromise possible from what I saw.

That will be all for now

Break off

Any questions?

Everyone is allowed to express themselves with a opinion if it's appropriate enough at first..

Second of all, give Chase a break and chance to show what his got......... He got appointed as SWAT Commander by the APRD Chief/President and all the sudden people began to say stuff when they have absolute no idea on what's going on. I would love to see yourself in this position.. Would you like'd to see yourself in the same situation as this?

Although it may have been unexpectedly and surprising decision of Chase's promotion, but it was mainly by Gandalf which gave him full trust and to chance to step up forward and change around SWAT a bit i suppose. And i fully trust Chase and will give him the chance to prove himself capable in the position he is in currently, and i hope you all do as-well.
Now, I'm not going to say I'm going to agree or disagree - Within the SAPD, i always remain neutral to everyone as long as they follow the simple concept of the rules provided.

Now, you guys need to be a little patient while myself, Pancher, Jaaskaa and Gandalf finish with all the extensions that will be on-going for the SAPD. Because currently, people are talking about this, that and acting like they know everything...

However, it is muchly understandable to see that a few are a bit confused on what's going on currently within the SAPD and the changes which are occurring in it. So we ask you to bare with us and be patient while we process our extensions together and build SAPD together.

As you may have noticed, these changes are mainly given by Gandalf and they will mainly affect the in game scripts as we speak.
Doors are open out if you cannot trust Jaaskaa in this kind of situation, but you are missing hell of a fun in RS5. And i can assure those who walk out from that door will return once the day comes.

I will mostly together with Pancher review most of this when everything is completed.
So please, if you ever say anything - Do it appropriately or expect the unexpected.

Will say it again, i act neutral with every single person in the whole Community. That means, no one is right or wrong.

When Jaaskaa decides to post the reasons why, you guys will be informed as i have the Chiefs have no information about it deeply.
Then I'm pretty sure every single one of us will know what the reasons are.
Concerns regarding the demotions should be forwarded to Jaaskaa.

I will lock the topic now till then as there are argument proceeding to a non-end.

Chase will do fine as SWAT Commander. I worked with him alot back when i had captain and he was the Deputy Director in FBI. He will lead SWAT to new places. That is never wrong.
