Change SAPD to SAMPD?

this idea is basic, only changing SAPD to S.A Metropolitan P.D..Originally it is, but the abreviation is not changed. /discuss

The name SAPD has been used for so many years now, it shouldnt be changed.

I didn't relate single-player to this discussion. Call rockstar to change ACS cruisers from LVPD to ACS, right?

Omar said why can't I call RockStar and tell them to change SAPD name on cruisers. And I answered with an ACS example. Those who disagree please state a valid reason.

Well, metropolitan means that it's a big city...I'm in the SAPD, but in the not-so-distant future I won't be working in the city itself. I'm still SAPD though, but not a metropolitan area.

Hm, what a coincidence, all the departments on another server I play on recently changed to that.

You can report your self in police radio as SAMPD if you want soo hard , aswell you can repaint current SAPD vehicles and done.

Because Metropolitan would refer to one major city with individual sub departments or departments enforcing seperate areas. San Andreas is made up of different cities so it makes no sense in regards to the term 'Metropolitan".

If GTA V is just Los Santos and the Map is very big, I can see it being named LSMPD but even then its a stretch.

Actually by definition, SAPD is a Metropolitan Police Department because it is also covering county jurisdictions in addition to City policing. It is just a state-wide Metropolitan Police Department. LSPD, LVPD, and SFPD themselves are also considered Metropolitan Police Departments, although they aren't state-wide within themselves like SAPD as a whole is.
