[SA:MP] SAPD COMMAND NOTICE :: Codes clarification

SAPD COMMAND NOTICE

Codes Clarification

The SAPD Command Staff is trying to make every officer fully understand the laws and rules. The same comes with codes. After seeing that plenty of our officers misunderstand some of the codes, I suggested slight correction and clarification on the definitions and implementing one helpful code. This suggestion got approved by the Leaders of SAPD.

From now on, the usage of Code 1, Code 2 and Code 10-7 will change. The new definition is set as following:

Code 1 - Proceeding without lights and sirens. (As an answer to the 911 or radio call)
Code 2 - Proceeding urgently, with lights and sirens at intersections only.
Code 3 - Proceeding immediately with lights and sirens.

Many officers has been wrongly seeing the relation between being on/off duty and in/out of service (codes 10-7 & 10-8). There is a clear distinction between these. You can be on duty but 10-7, during a break or investigation. That is why we are implementing a new code and clarify the definition of another one.

Code 10-6 - Out of service but available for emergency calls.
Code 10-7 - Out of service and unavailable for emergency calls.
Code 10-8 - In service.

Explaination: 10-6 during the paper work at LSPD or during a regular donut break. 10-7 can be used for instance - while doing an admin work. 10-8 = patroling, being available.

Hope that will be clear enough for you now.

In case of any questions - post here or contact me personally via PM or MSN.

Signed,

Captain Robert Longstreet
SAPD HQ

During a traffic stop, if you want to report standby I usually use Code 1. Must I write it now? :hit:

It's quite obvious to see this is for SA:MP unless someone does not understand it is not which i doubt.

The topic title still says SAPD. It shouldn't be assumptions because this can confuse new players.
