It's quite obvious to see this is for SA:MP unless someone does not understand it is not which i doubt.

The topic title still says SAPD. It shouldn't be assumptions because this can confuse new players.

Stop making a big deal out of something that is blatantly obvious please. If you cant figure it out then you probably would not know how to turn a PC on in the first place.

It has really became apparent that this is SA:MP from this entire conversation. Besides, JayL didn't post it, so it's REALLY not MTA:SA.

Lets get back on topic....

No offense, but when SAPD is mentioned, its barely referred to an inactive server.

Not only is MTA:SA not inactive, but that justifies absolutely nothing. ARPD is one agency with multiple Departments that are all seen as equal. Something being obvious still does not help new players who don't know that two SAPD's exist. What if a new player came to this website from MTA:SA and thought the rules applied to SA:MP, and got in trouble for using the wrong ones? Then what?

Title edited to avoid any future confusion.
Thank you. I don't know what the big deal about adding a few simple characters to make new players aware was such a big deal. We have 3 same-named Departments in each of the cities/states. It should be apparent by now that new players might get confused by that pretty easily...

MTA:SA's SAPD isn't on the very active state right now.

I'm not sure why a new player would go for news and announcement right away as well to a code announcement to learn things about SAPD.
Each board of a PD is entitled with their specific server in front, [SA:MP], [LU], [MTA:VC], [VC:MP] but there is no [MTA:SA], therefore I haven't seen codes made for MTA:SA, if a new player is coming here and saying this is MTASA, they would still think its ridiculous to have 3 codes only, por que?

This isn't a big deal at all, que, we need to have news and announcement separately as well now?
Its pretty obvious, this announcement is made by FlameMan and his rank totally reads '[SA:MP] Captain', [SA:MP].

Common sense, why would SA:MP's SAPD interfere in MTA:SA's SAPD?

MTA:SA's SAPD, as stated by JayL, consists of any active ARPD Officers that can be automatically part of the Department without applying. That is why MTA:SA SAPD has no boards. They still exist as an official organization, as authorized by Gandalf himself, and is run under JayL's authority as MTA:SA SAPD Chief. Is it really worth an off-topic ****storm to just clarify which PD it is for new players? This is a cross-server board, not the SA:MP ones, so care should always be taken to specify what server(s) a topic applies to. Each Department will have varying regulations and announcements from time to time. That does not mean we should just post and make everyone assume which one it is. I understand that FlameMan probably just forgot the tag out of habit since he has been with SA:MP SAPD since long before MTA:SA was in development. That's not a big deal. That's why I left a hint. This giant conversation wasn't really needed just to get the point across when someone could have simply taken the initiative to update the first post and call it good.

Now that this is fixed, let's just get back on topic guys. I don't want to derail things further. The debate wasn't really needed.

This topic in this board isn't the only one which is obvious to everyone within the forum even though its not tagged with what server is it suppose to refer to.

For example;
ARPD Promotions & Awards
Suspensions and Demotions

These two main topics doesn't have a tag on nor on every post it says SA:MP PROMOTION or SA:MP DEMOTION and it hasn't been a big deal to understand for years, so why this all of the sudden then?

If we gotta have everything known to what it should be then from now on, there should be a written rule where we must put a server tag on every single topic made in public areas then.

Those topics aren't tagged because each person who posts in it specifies the server in the post since the topic is for all servers. This topic is clearly for SA:MP SAPD only.

As for tagging things, I agree on that if it's a cross-server board and it only applies to one server. There are 2 LCPD's, 2 VCPD's, and 2 SAPD's. The tags are there to help those that it isn't obvious to. Remember, new players often make mistakes even when the obvious is presented to them. :cop:

Now please, let's get back on topic. We can continue via PM if you like. :)

A question regarding Code 1...shouldn't responding to 911 calls usually be a code 3 response since they are urgent emergencies?

Your question, it will depend on the 911 call.
Code 3 will be used to proceed in pursuits, deploying a suspect and such situations.

For example, a Code 1 Response could be a 911 call that refers to trespassing, noise complain. Things of less urgency.

Or better yet, you know those calls to the cops you do IRL and they show up the next morning? Those.

Code 1 and Code 2 can be used when a 207 BLUE is declared, for example. You are not required to respond yet...so I normally plod over slowly.

Guys, don't forget to clarify which SAPD. MTA:SA SAPD exists too. ;)
Aww shit, this topic is about SA:MP? I never guessed
