I know weapon preferences are allowed on duty but isn’t it a bit disappointing when cops attack suspects with combats and other heavy equipment like snipers?

Everyday I see many officers using heavy equipment (combat shotguns,m4,sniper rifles) against unarmed fleeing suspects. Is that allowed?

Thank you.I also have one more thing to say.I will not be much time ingame for the next 10 days due to school exams.I think this is respected.

It doesn't mean I will stop going on duty or stop posting reports but I will do everything for a bit less time than usuall.

Inactivity noted. Good luck.

Patrol Report

Date: 18/5/2012 Evening || 19/5/2012 midday.

Length: 15 minutes || 2 hours

Patrol Partner(s): Ivan_Cipone

Suspects Arrested: 2
Suspects Killed: 3

Investigations Performed: 1

Tickets Issued: None
Civilians Stopped: I stopped 1 civilian

Description of your shift: Yesterday evening I had a nice time.I was patrolling Los Santos alone and managed to kill a suspect that was heavy armed and shooting outside Market Ammunation.Unfortunately I was killed too (lag). After a few minutes I quit the game.Today I killed a suspect outside LVPD that was trying to carkill me.I destroyed his car and with the aid of another officer we managed to take him down.Later I patrolled with that officer named Ivan_Cipone and had an excellent time.We arrested a suspect at Julius Thruway and had a good time RPing together.Unfortunately the suspect pulled a weapon and started shooting before going into jail.We were forced to shoot back.We wouldn’t care if he had used /gu but he preffered RP arrest. Finally after my partner had to quit I pulled over a citizen and after he evaded I arrested him alone and put him into jail.I spent some more time and later that day I quit the server.

Dash-Cam Pictures:

Conclusion: Patrolling with partners is better that patrolling alone.

  • -- Notes –
When a suspect prefers an RP arrest we should always be careful.

Description of your shift: In the morning I only got in for little time and arrested 1 suspect. In the evening I took part in many shootouts because criminals had taken over LS.I only managed to take down one shooting suspect and put another into jail. Later I took part in an SAPD checkpoint on the LS-LV Highway. We had great time RPing with civilians passing by.I satyed there for at least one hour and checked some civilians myself before quiting the game.

Conclusion: I had a really nice time with more that 15 officers being present at the checkpoint. Most civilian were responding to our Role-play. We had a great time.

  • -- Notes –
I found out that for such occasions I can use /mdc to do a license check. Very useful command.

Patrol Partner(s): No one specifically but I joined many other officers for catching single suspects.

Suspects Arrested: 5
Suspects Killed: 3

Investigations Performed: None

Tickets Issued: None
Civilians Stopped: 1

Description of your shift: Over these last three days I did not have time to post reports. However I did many things.I arrested a lot of suspects. Monday there were a lot of suspects and I had the opportunity to prove myself(although after 1 hour these guys started being tempbanned for DM).I had a great helping other offices and chasing suspect with them.Today I jailed some guys and took part at a breaching with 3 other officers in Downtown LS.The 1 suspect was arrested while the other one was killed after shooting.Later I stopped a civilian which in the end evaded me and I took part in another RP breach because the suspect had /q.Many pursuit were made and of course I got killed 3 times but that’s what happens to all of us.

Conclusion: I had a really great time especially when we breached in the buildings.

  • -- Notes –
Sorry for not posting reports the day I made my duties but as I said I also have RL exams to do.
  • -- Questions –
When someone is shooting but no at me, can I open fire instantly?
  • -- Plans for improvements –
I would like to find officers that like RP and do stuff with them on duty. Many of the officers (especially ARPD ones)seem not to know what RP is.

Patrol Report

Date: 24/5/2012

Length: 2 Hours 30 minutes

Patrol Partner(s): Zing_Rivorchevsky was one,I don’t remember the other guy I went on with later.

Suspects Arrested: None
Suspects Killed: 4

Investigations Performed: None

Tickets Issued: None
Civilians Stopped: -

Description of your shift: Today I had a nice time.I had the chance to do my duties with patrol partners and I killed a lost of suspects. All of them were shooting. The pursuits were good and 1 thing I have too say is that I also took part in stopping a kidnap.I was the first to arrive on the 207 scene, setting the perimeter and calling for reinforcements. After 3 other officers arrived we breached and took down the armed suspect that tried to make his run.It is one of the little times such things happen and I am really glad I played a role saving the hostage in the end.

Conclusion: I had much fun doing my duties once again.

  • -- Notes –
Freecops can saves hostages too.Not only SWAT or FBI does.
  • -- Questions –
My previous question was not answered. If I see a suspect shooting but not at me (e.g.Shooting in the air),am I allowed to open fire directly?
  • -- Plans for improvements –
I will look after the radio codes once again.

Description of your shift: Today I had too limited time. However I took part in an organized patrol with many fellow officers. We were supposed to patrol Muloholand and LS-LV highway and block any suspects attempting to pass through, however he went after 2 suspect and we ,anaged to catch them after a difficult pursuit. In the evening I only responded to a C3 call about 3 suspect ordering heroin at Whitewood Estates.I went there, called for support and went in when another officer arrived.

Conclusion: I had a great time but unfortunately I got a kick for ‘shooting standing still suspects’.I wanted to apologize for it as lag and the behavior of the other guys present made me shoot. However there was too much lag and I couldn’t join.
