This will be off topic now:  :help:

I cannot login to argonathrpg.eu because I changed my E-Mail-adress. I tried everything to get a new activation e-mail but it still doesn't work. I have also tried to register a new account but I don't get an activation e-mail either. I have tried all.
Can maybe someone of you contact the webmaster and tell him to send me the activation code or something?

my username: harryoconnor
e-mail: [email protected]

I would really appreciate it! :help:

Thanks!

Harry, I've found your account (it looks all fine) on the Argonath main forums: http://www.argonathrpg.com/index.php?action=profile;u=21893

When you change your email address, I don't think you receive an email about the change.
If anything it may just be a confirmation to say that such an action has taken place. As far as I know, no activation is required as the account would already have been set up and activated earlier on under the original email address.

You should be able to login with you username (harryoconnor) and password.

Soon the power of this cadet will be unleashed upon Vice City and my spot will be filled!

From my experience, I wouldn't put any bet on him. He already pulled over a person, for no reason, ( he didn't state one ), blown his tire, thus leading to damage, while the civilian was cooperating, he did pay the 500$ for the reparations, but still, brings a bad name.

Ok Legend I needed an activation e-mail to verify my new e-mail adress. But now, for some reason, I got the e-mail and could log in to my account again (yayy!!). Thanks for your help!

Shadow you shouldn't go mad about one mistake I did. The civilian was entering the car after I told him to step away from it so the first thing I thought was that he would take off. I used a spike strip on him and shot one of his tires out to prevent him from running. He did not cooperate at all and jumped in his car after I told him to step away. I only paid the 500$ because you, as a superior officer, told me to do it. The only mistake I see that I made was that I haven't told him why I pulled him over. That is all. Clam down man.

Glad to hear it, harry.

Think of it this way, I know it's a game and shooting someone here has hardly the same or similar implications as in real life.
In real life, police avoid using any kind of weapons, and especially firearms due to some of the repercussions that may be attached to it.

Some law enforcement officers don't even carry guns.

The VCPD should be the best in professionalism and service to the citizens, and we don't want to be seen using extremes of force, especially not in public.
If you are doing a pull over, as in this case, and the person shows next to no signs of actual threat (i.e. threat to yourself, others) then you should hopefully not even be considering using your fists. A gun, of all things, is the last resort. In a pull over (or when confronting someone) it really should only ever be drawn if there's a high threat involved.

Spike strips, again, just use them in roadblocks or when really essential.
Because someone's evading a pull over, that's fine, we can chase them, get more units on them and stop them eventually.
Shooting them (or towards them) shouldn't be something we do.

Academy Staff Shadow wasn't "mad" - or at least, not here - he didn't even mention anything serious initially, and even afterwards it was no biggie... just little steps.
He has every right to point you in the correct direction. At the end of the day we're all on the same side. If one of us gets brought down, so do the rest.

Cadet harryoconnor was given a re-cap session this evening, which was followed up by combat exercises.
Stage 7 of the Academy was also completed, although if required another patrol with a member of Academy/Command Staff might be useful.

harry, you showed commitment to your job and a rounded skill set.
I know that you are still learning, but my advise to you would be to remain professional and polite at all times, especially when interacting with other staff and citizens, as that will be the easiest way to get on with people and to make sure that citizens listen out to you. Also, don't get too hooked on every single detail, as you would soon find it tedious, strike a balance between everything when enforcing the law and patrolling the city.

Your performance in the Academy shall be reviewed and discussed and we will be sure to let you know about how you did.
Very best of luck.

Hello guys,

I just wanted to tell you some things: I will go inactive for about 4-5 months now because I have to concentrate 100% on my school exams that will come up in April. These exams are the most important one ever so I will have to be on that.
That means I will take a leave for a long time. I know that I am still not accepted as a VCPD Officer so if you think it isn't appropriate to keep a Cadet for that long time until I will get active again feel free to cancel my app, reject it or whatever, I will re-apply then when I get back. But if it would be possible that my rank will just be frozen until I get back I would much appreciate it.
So do what you think you have to do and I hope to see you guys again when I am done with the exams.

Regards
Harry O'Connor

Take your time, harry. Real life is always the priority. Your application will be put on hold until further notice.

Wish you the very best of luck.

I know that you've already passed (almost) all the Academy stages and covered basically everything - good work.

If you did get a chance, feel free to contact me in-game or maybe we can find a time that is suitable for both of us so that we don't have to keep everything waiting. It may be good to get the "little things" out of the way and could help you when you return. :D
