[SA:MP SWAT] Departure (2008-2012)
« on: October 19, 2012, 17:58:21 pm »
During 2008, the first official SWAT team was established in the SAPD. The team has worked it's way up by it's own specialized tactics and teamwork with the elite status earned.
Many changes and structures have changed into this particular division, from hard times and to stable times where we can all see the differences and hard work which is put in by the teams.
Every SWAT structure had it's own role and technique, but the most role they had on their shoulders was to be professional and an elite team towards the Governmental State.

Whilst many people strive and hope to be within this elite organization, they've had to go through patience examinations, hard trainings and tough riding's to get themselves well dedicated to their new elite duty.
SWAT has always been expected to be in elite standard forms in terms of their organization and how they proceed into major situations together with the cooperation of the ARPD and it's lawful groups.
No matter what structure has walked through the history of the SAPD, they will be remembered for their effort and hard work.

Today, it's a memorable day for the departure of SWAT, of the 2012 ERA. This ERA will be based on a self-organization with the strong relations with FBI and SAPD. This decision wasn't made easy as it arise'd, but
debated by a lengthy duration which brought this structure in establishment. The structure is expected to keep conflicts more off-track than before. This is mainly implemented by Jaaskaa in behalf of Gandalf.
As we've mentioned before, the SA:MP official law enforcement organizations will be all re-structured. It started off with SAPD, and then we've been slowly going through SWAT. Upcoming is FBI.

Goals:
- Remove any elite perception: SWAT will be different, not better.
- More specialized and dedicated unit: SWAT will now focus on their job in order to become more proficient.
- Better team spirit: By being apart, they will create closer bounds, thus forcing them to act more as a band of brother.

Which means, the development will be boosting and recruitment is on the process, which means on the other hand that ARPD Officers also have the opportunity.
Keep your heads up on the division forum for further information in future and keep your work in a high-effort level.

I'll be continuing to develop SWAT with Jaaskaa and the SWAT Commanding members for inquires. But at the moment, keep your questions and inquires to a minimal.

Farewell to our past and present members of the team.
By that being said, SWAT is now declared a separate organization beside the ARPD.

Gandalf
Jaaskaa

Indeed, very unexpected.

Oh well, it's life. People die, people live.

(I thought Paul was posting a resignation from SWAT on behalf of an old player?)

Since SAPD and SWAT are considered separate divisions as of yesterday dose this mean in order to even be invited people would have to leave the SAPD, or can you be in both divisions?

That also being said im glad to see that even ARPD officers have a chance on getting in. It will make them act differently in situations which is a plus. Good thinking on that Paul ;)

I'm assuming this only applies to SA:MP SWAT given the topic at hand, but the ending declaration said "SWAT" is a separate organization from ARPD. I hope this means just SA:MP. I'm assuming so, but I figured it was worth asking since this came from the President and Commissioner, who aren't SA:MP-specific ranked people.

Yup this topic about SWAT's departure only concerns SA;MP SWAT. Your assumptions were right.

So now SA:MP-SWAT is considered as un-official ARPD division and it'll be treated like: ARTP, OCU, etc?

No, SWAT will be an official division jus like SAPD and FBI. It will have its own ranks, own cars and stuff. The only thing that changed is it wount be under SAPD anymore. The SWAT Command will be running their own department doing their own recruitment and such, they will not carry SAPD ranks and SAPD will not carry SWAT ranks jus like old times.
This means you wount be tied up to be in SAPD to be part of SWAT, any ARPD officer can be SWAT and can be recruited and trained, welcome to the new era of SWAT!

So if I understood your story (especially bolded part) right, SAPD officers can not be part of SAPD?

For now, depending on the availability, the member can choose whether if he wishes to stay in both SAPD and SWAT. RS5 will be different most likely.

RS5 is about scripts not how a team works. From my point of view if they lower the elite position it will be good. ARPD is one big team, let's co-operate.
