Hello! It's good to see (most of) you again. For those who are not familiar with who I am, let me introduce myself. My name is Brian, but most know me by my username, Cane. I have been around this community since 2008, and literally went through puberty while playing on this server. That being said, I have had some seriously moody times, going both on and off, quitting, coming back, etc., with the force, as well as the server. Now that I've matured a little (or at least I'd like to think I have), I'd like to say something that may or may not shock some of you.

If you had not have figured it out yet, I currently reside in the United States. I am a student attending a university (my second semester of my freshman year), and I have been interested in the field of law enforcement for some time. As silly as it may sound, playing on this server, roleplaying as an officer, encouraged me further to follow this path. Again, it may sound extremely silly to many of you, and to be honest, it is. However, I will say this: my time on this server as a police officer has taught me some of the most basic things about being a police officer. No, the game itself did not aid me in doing so, however it did encourage me to research this field more in-depth, and sparked my drive, my enthusiasm for the law enforcement community.

In addition to this, I would like to add that I am now a part of my university's police department's program, as a student security officer, working closely with the university police department.

Many of you may wonder why I am sharing this with you. My point is rather simple. It is no question that most, if not all of you are a part of this community for the sole sake of playing a video game, and I respect that. However, for those rare individuals (such as myself) that take this a little more seriously than you probably should, I would like to let you know that even though this is a game, you can truly make it interesting by encouraging yourself to research on topics related to law enforcement (and other public safety related fields), and use your knowledge in the game.

Thank you for taking your time to read my interesting (and rather pathetic) experience. I would be more than willing to answer any questions you may have.

I was thinking that I was the only one who was excited by roleplaying as a cop. Obviously, there are more guys like this. Your experience isn't pathetic, I understand you. When I think about the times I roleplayed as a cop, nostalgia comes

I know you, Cane! I remember you! You were the LSPD Officer I served with! Haha, good to see you back buddy, you might want to check out the ANTI-RS5 radicals vs Realists fighting in the ARGONATH RPG forums, people seem to be unhappy with the RS5, mostly because of the complete account reset, and the server is pretty much empty or half empty most of the time and at the moment there really isnt much to do in game.

I noticed!

I was pretty upset when I realized that no one really plays on the server anymore. I don't really see RS5 as a bad thing, but I guess many see it differently than I do. Also, I'm not exactly "back", per se, but I do like to drop by once in a while (on the forums, particularly) to see what's up. I'm sorry that I don't exactly remember who you are, as I've dealt with many players over the years, but I'm sure you're pretty cool
