VCPD station interiors
« on: August 12, 2015, 15:55:04 pm »
Mapping the station interiors, I need to make a small poll. Would you guys prefer:
a) copy-pasted Ocean Beach PD interior, with jail etc etc
b) primary jail should stay in Ocean Beach, add other facilities instead for each station, like shooting ranges, etc
c) other idea (describe)

It would be interesting to have new facilities (shooting ranges as you mentioned), but it would be even more interesting to see if you can design a new PD interior.

I'm not going to create custom objects just so I can design a completely new one, the main part will be used from base station (the entrance - the desk at start, the lockers on the left and showers) but rest will be custom. For Havana I was thinking of shooting range instead of jail and some interrogation room instead of the offices, for Vice Point I'll use just some sherrif office (because realistically, the VP station is very small and it would have just a few cops working in it), for the Downtown....no idea really, though I was thinking of some SWAT armory. Maybe I'll make an exception and add jail to DT too, it seems balanced to have two jails on whole map, while not overdoing it with 4. Let me know what you think.

Havana PD:
A Front Desk area(reception) picked from VCPD HQ
Shooting range picked from DT ammunation.

Downtown PD:
A small interrogation room containing a CCTV, a table, 3 chairs, a door and one window.
It would be cool to have a see through window from outside but I guess that is too much to ask :D

Vice Point PD:
A briefing area containing some benches facing a big white drawing board.
It would be great if some drawing, plans can be drawn on the board similar to the bank layout in Malibu's upper floor.

Are there any one-sided (aka visible on one, invisible on other side) panel-ish objects around? If yes guess a re-scale could do it.

Anyhow, ideas around look pretty good; DT having a small cell would be nice since it's pretty much diagonally opposite to the HQ.

Havana PD interior is nearly finished, it consists of:
reception + small room having some desks for officers to handle shit + some tables (a pseudo cafeteria) then there's the shooting range.

I'll be sure to use your suggestions for the next ones.

Yep, there's a billboard object that acts like this.
