Every officer read this (important)
« on: February 07, 2009, 10:31:48 am »
as all know, SATP has his hands full with civilian speeders. We hand out fines and hand out more info about how you should drive in the traffic. On the period were in SATP exist. I and my fellow troopers have noticed a large number of police officers who rush through traffic without any reasons. I have contacted the superior officers. And had talked about this problem. Ad there is a special board to report speeders on this forum. Non used it. It's not working affective in any kindof way.

So what will happen if YOU are a police speeder?
The answer is simple. Everytime an officer speeds they get fined 200$ a time. If you drive 20 km/h to fast or more. The amount of 200$ stays. SATP hopes that the amount of speeders will reduce with this.
If you think " meh, it's only 200$, I keep speeding!" don't worry, you'l get reported to the head of ARPD SAPD. With a chanceyou lose the right to drive a police vehicle ever again.
I hope this was clear. This does for every police rank!
Think about your acting. Of you will get fined or reported if needed!!

Regards SAtP sheriff/ Sgt Pulaski

You always can pull any other officer or cadet over, verbal warn him.
About fining officers im not that sure.. with who did you state that rule? Because i know nothing about it...

Thats why we have duty violation.. not to fine officers by other officers...

I have asked chief CBFasi. He said fine 200$. Ofciurse as you say warn first. He says that to. But the duty violations board does not work affective. As he said ithimself to.  So he said that cops can get fined. I agree withthst as it isgetting a real big problem

that is what I mean frank, such attitude. It can't be hard to not speed.

I have seperated feelings about this..

Some officers know they're speeding and keep on doing the same,

Others are speeding for reasons and don't bring other civilians in danger.. Of course it's still against the rules.

if officers need to respond with a code two. Then it isn't a crime. If you speed and say youhad to respond with two and you lie. We will check the source. Fooling us won't make it better in any kind of way.

That's very true. Remember guys, the admins can always check the logs if needed. Please just learn to follow the laws and rules of the server. It's ridiculous if you decide to break the law when your job is enforcing it...

* Frederik_Cortez walks into 'LSPD'
* Frederik_Cortez notices an annoucement on the notice board
* Frederik_Cortez reads the announcement

Frederik_Cortez says:  This is a really good idea in my opinion and should continue to be enforced without any slackness involved.  Hopefully this can help the Cadets and Free Officers understand that they are supposed to be setting an example and that if they don't, they can get in to just as much trouble as a normal civilian!  I say it was time something like this was put into action, and I'm very greatfull it has been!

* Frederik_Cortez walks away

(( I'm really glad to hear this announcement being made as non roleplay driving by Officers is very annoying, especially to civilians.  It seems rather unfair that Officers can break driving regulations and not get into any severe trouble where as civilians and normal citizens of the state of 'Argonath' get fined rather heavily or chased down for speeding.  Once again, I'm glad this is going to be put into effect. ))

I always drive 80km/h in city (sometimes a peak over it, but ok) and mostly even in countyside I drive 80 km/h. Sometimes in SF tho, in the county side I speed a little. And I've seen lots of cadet, freecops, officer and higher (even a captain) speeding and causing a car accident.

Good idea!

Last time when i was speeding, Eddie, stopped me and fined me.
First i was very angry about him,but then i realize then i broke the laws which i wants to protect.
So now on Im NOT speeding,when its not necessary.

And now,in my opinion i agree with this new rule. The freecops and the officers will be driving carefully now, i think.

(Im just wanted to be a good cop. If needed forcing everybody to obey the laws, so I MUST obey the laws too.Thats all what i wanted to tell you guys.
I hope you understand what i mean.)

Hopefully this will encourage officers to follow the rules and actually follow the speed limits, unless as Eddie said its a code 2.

Great work Eddie!  ;)

* Altair_Carter gets inside LSPD to go onduty.
* Altair_Carter notices somekind of advertisement on bulletin.
* Altair_Carter reads it, thinks:

I hope some words from this will atleast give to officers and cadets a thought, that they are Law Enforcement after all,and they break the Law itself with theese traffic violations on duty. I hope Sergeant Pulaski will handle it well.

(( We need to encourage it more. I still know some officers, who still brake the speedlimits, and they never get punished, exept for them being verbally warned on radio. Sometimes they listen, sometimes not.))

I think it's time the SATP fully takes over for leading traffic enforcement for all officers.
One agency that already focuses on these situations, that has been given the power to enforce them on officers as well, will give us much more to do. If we take over this job completely, we can organize it under our subdivision, making it easier for us to punish abusers and keep track of who does what instead of splitting the information across multiple boards to senior units that are already busy with much more important matters...
