Official SAPD statement in regards to the "Ranking Up" topic
« on: August 16, 2009, 21:58:45 pm »

OFFICIAL SAPD STATEMENT

Myself, as part of SAPD Command Staff decided to public official SAPD Statement in regards to the topic "Ranking Up". First information - all unnecessery posts got removed.
Second - promotion moaning. Main moaners - Cane, Thomas_C, GiacJr. Answers to that part:

1. Command Staff has few points which decides about promotion. The most important are activity - not only patroling around, but also activity in whole SAPD life, experience, working somewhere else than only being patrolman (for exapmle traffic police, academy, swat, being dispatcher) and quality of serving state.
2. If you moan in real life, against your bosses - you most likely loose job. Here is simmiliar. If you don't like SAPD and you don't enjoy your stay - why are you here?
3. Working here is not only about promotions.. If you are in SAPD only to get promoted, better leave.

What is worse.. its hard to believe that all moaning came from the Sergeants of SAPD!! Means they were promoted 3 times since officer!!
We decided that the most harsh moaners will get more harsh punishment (not the most harsh tho, its not fire from SAPD). As title of Senior Officer says - "A Reward rank (Bravery in the field, long term benefical service)", Captain Jay Adams and I, decided to move the most harsh moaners straight down to Officer. Why? You kept moaning after Captain Adams said not to.

So about moaners. Summary:
- Sergeant [AV]Cane - Official SAPD warning for questioning Command Staff decisions - Demotion to Officer - Removed from SWAT.
- Sergeant [WS]Thomas_C - Official SAPD warning for questioning Command Staff decisions.
- Sergeant TeaM_GiacJr - Official SAPD Warning for questioning Command Staff decisions - Demotion to Officer - Invitation to SWAT removed.
- Sergeant [WS]Smey - Official SAPD Warning for questioning Command Staff decisions.
- Cadet MikeUK - Official SAPD Warning for questioning Command Staff decisions.

If you have no trust in Command Staff, leave San Andreas Police Dept. We do not need such people.

Another thing, in regards to your doubts about Lieutenant.

Lieutenant is NOT a normal rank. People may get it, once they start undercover work for Command Staff. Lieutenant is JOB, not a rank! Officers can get straight up to Lieutenant, and after they finish work for Staff, they get back to Officer, because their SAPD Rank is still the same!!
SAPD Command Staff started new unit project, we invited Officers who after accepting got Lieutenant rank. If you would ask any of Command Staff members, you would get straight answer, and probably all that crying wouldn't exist. Next time, go straight to source instead of wondering and spreading false informations around!

I hope it will teach you a lesson. Decision has been made irrevocably, by Captain [AV]Jay_Adams and myself.

Signed,
Captain Robert Longstreet

Wait WHAT?

Why did I get warned for questioning command staff!?

I NEVER questioned command staff, I was defending myself and SASD.

I was saying how proud I was of Matrixbob and Blinky to get promotions to lieutenant! How am I wrong!?!?!?

Upheld, warning removed. Your warning was given by Captain Jay Adams. After checking logs, I agree that you did not question command staff decisions.

Thank you Flameman, and the rest of the SAPD staff, for making an official statement on this urgently important issue. It is unfortunate to see the punishments that have been "handed out" over this problem, but I trust in the staff's judgment on it. I hope that these issues can soon be resolved and the fighting to end. SAPD needs to advance, not step backwards repeatedly.

Dear command staff, Flameman and Jay_Adams in particular, Matrixbob, Blinky and Rory.
I apologise for my horrendous words said in the "Ranking Up" topic yesterday.
I have just had a think of my behaviour and I realise it was completely uncalled for and downright rude.
I removed my faith in the command staff and allowed my personal beliefs to control what I wrote.
This was a large mistake on my side and I am truthfully sorry for it. If I had been on the sideline in that topic I would have no doubt been in disgust.
Flameman and Jay_Adams, I am sorry that I did not place enough trust in your judgements. I realise now that you two are two of the most experienced and knowledgable members of the command staff, and I should have respected that.
Matrixbob and Blinky, I had nothing personal against either of you. I am really happy for both of you that you got your promotions, as I have seen some of your work and you both excel. I apologise if any of my words in any way, shape or form offended you two. You are both great guys and I hope you prosper in the SAPD.
Rory, I am sorry for beating around the bush. Yes, my comments were directed towards you and SASD. This was wrong of me and I should not have made assumptions made on one or two members, and I most certainly should have not taken it to the public boards in such a way as I did. I apologise to you. I hope that we can rehabilitate our relationship.

In saying this, I hope that I can be given a second chance. Yesterday was spur of the moment and I regret every single word I said. Now that I am over the adreniline that surrounded me upon hearing of my demotion, I can rationally think out my words properly and thoughtfully.

Sorry for any troubles, sorry for any public humiliation, defamation or anything else that may have occured in my words.
If a second chance is given, I can guarentee that my work will be as good as ever and that I will never do anything like what I did again.

Sincerely yours,
GiacJr

'Command staff', if you next time could report the promotions in the correct topic, we wouldn't have to doubt your decision. Now it was like: "What? Did they get promoted? I didn't read it". It looked like you want to promote them without anyone knowing.

As I told captain Adams in his office, I never questioned him. I only asked for an explanation, because, what I heard that far was "things are going on". And as it was reported no where, I started to think about it. Anyways, I believe I made a typo in the "ranking up" topic with Should instead of Could. Probably you won't believe me, but that's up to you.

And about the promotions, what I meant to say is that there are plenty of (Good) officers also waiting for promotions. They've been officer for 1 year or longer, I wanted to push them out of the shadow. Seems you misunderstood.

And the example about those promotions, using Matrix_Bob as main example, I'm sorry for that. I already apologized to Matrix ingame, and he said it was cool. I still feel bad about it though...

Anways: I'd like to apologize to all in this event, I may not have meant it the way you understood it.

Thomas, you made a good example right  about "misunderstanding", which now you see exactly how I feel about the way my appreciation letter to SASD was. It's all about speaking correctly.

I had a long talk with Fasi regarding this... All it is, is understanding that people take what you say differently. It may sound perfect and perfect to you, but sounds completely wrong to someone else. You just have to think it over, type it out, think over it again, type it out one more time, and proof read it. Ask yourself what all the possibilities are for people to misunderstand what you've said, and make it foolproof.

But it's not problem bud, it seems we have all made mistakes this day, and we're responsible people for apologizing and admitting to our mistakes. As Fasi told me, we're all human and we're all mistake-makers... Or same thing in different words, I can't speak the way that Fasi does, he's magnificent at speech ability. Which also proves my point!

Sorry Rory, it is not that I took your topic the wrong way at first, it is the fact people I trusted highely have just betrayed that trust and I made a decision becouse of that trust.

I'll apologise.

I am sorry I questioned command's decisions, I was just a bit bewildered at the fact people had been promoted and it was not reported in the correct topic. I thought it was a bit strange. I have no problems with the SASD (I really want them to know that - I do not have a problem with them!).
