As ARPD law states, it is illegal to be corrupt. As Argonath RPG's rules state, it is allowed to RP a corrupt cop. In other words, what happened here is allowed by the server rules, by disallowed by the laws themselves. This means that yes, you can get fired for being corrupt, but no, your firing would not be administrative-based for breaking a rule.

Basically, if you are fired for this, it's for being corrupt; not for breaking the server's rules.

We can suspect them and prosecute.

In all fairness, with how f**ked up people were acting late last night on the server, there is a fine line between RPing a corrupt cop, and breaking the rules.  And reading this, just adds onto it.

1) Is it allowed for a freecop to ticket and I do quote the exact amount of "999,999" for disorderly conduct simply because they're a part of "the freecop division"?
2) Suspecting a person for "talk!" because they were not talking and were AFK on private property (pizza stack employee at the pizza stack) when they had done nothing wrong?
3) "RPing" a corrupt cop drug deal thru /p so it "technically" doesn't count as IC?

It is no wonder why people run anymore from the ARPD (officers+ and cadets) and why EVERYTHING turns into a police chase.  It's because of this.  Anybody can use the excuse that "oh im only RPing a corrupt cop" to get away with breaking the rules.  If you are a corrupt cop, you should be copbanned (terminated with no possibility of further employment) of your duties.  They're not an officer? Why are they called a freeCOP then?

Now, don't take this as a bash on all freecops.  Afterall, there are many of them in our finest subdivisions of ARPD, but its those who give the rest a bad name.

Its just with last night there was no admin on for about 45min to an hour and everything turned to shit.  I could make a damn book on all of the stuff that happened.

Copban command is there for cops breaking server rules.

Thanks Car :)

Eh...giving somebody a handful of authority without any knowledge (both IC and OOC) doesn't sound like roleplay to me, but whatever.  I don't need to argue my point anymore, it has shown in the past and will continue to show around the server until proper actions are taken.

Like I said, there's a fine line where many people try to "roleplay" things that actually break server rules, yet do it in a sense of shitty ass roleplay.  If somebody can do heroin on duty and get fired...then come back as a "new person with a new name" and do the same shit again, its just a never-ending circle.

Corrupt Officer : Excellent RP which adds a new taste to the regular day.

Why it sucks : You get fired for OOC evidence :/

Free-cop / higher, you can report Corruption to ARPD special division FBI @ FBI.argonathrpg.com , if you have evidence etc

I was an epic free-cop  :cop: ( and Technically still am - as FBI cadet :P, rank in SAPD = Free-cop )

But I got cop banned once , was not breaking any server rules, just was not letting ARPD Push me around - People with "officer" Rank thought they could interfere in something , and made up rubbish into a bit of cop work I had started, and could manage, but that's not what there bias selves thought :/ .  The person who cop banned me has been fired from SAPD , for in general bad practice, I guess.

Hopefully no good Free-cop would have to suffer the same crap some had to suffer.

Its great some ARPD , maybe above some, but not enough, are encouraging Free-cops to go by the ARPD procedures as recommendation to being good free-cop :)
