Regarding LVPD's Future
« on: December 11, 2009, 08:58:51 am »
Regarding LVPD's future, is it ever going to be opened?

Wasn't the issue before that there were not enough Captains? SFPD has two and the other PD's all have one. Why not transfer one to LVPD and open it? I don't see why this hasn't happened already to be honest...

Hasn't opened yet because the current PD's have not been organised completely yet, and still things in SAPD are to be developed.

There might be a LVPD Captain planned, but I don't think it is the highest priority at this time.

This is f**king ridiculous! If they want to finalize things, why should the last PD wait? Why not develop it at the same rate? Besides, LV has NO coverage. We shouldn't have to go that far out of our way when SAPD has sufficient police forces to cover that area for us...

There is no rush to open LVPD, from what I last heard is that LVPD won't open until the other PDs are working fine. Plus the only activity that goes on in LV is at Bayside (which will not be covered by LVPD) and a few small things every now and then.

If moaning about going out of your way to get to LV because no official coverage - then just don't go. It can be criminal friendly zone. It will be more interesting either way. Anyone can patrol in LV if they want to.

I agree about other departements should be working perfect first and than maybe open a new PD. But like Jonny said : no need to rush..

Actually to prove a point here I'm going to step up patrols in Las Venturas, and assume the role as if I was in LVPD. See how it goes. Will post reports.

I don't. I request other officers that are not busy and are in service to respond to calls out there. When I'm online, there often is only myself and *maybe* one of Sgt. or above online, so if we are requested for something large, you can see why this is a problem. The sheer fact that it's a known, high-crime area without coverage is ridiculous...especially with SFPD already having two Captains. Running fine or not, that's a waste of good resources...

It is, but technically speaking that's county area, and DPD is expected to cover all county areas...

Note: Double-posted due to slight subject change.

Here is my proposal for LVPD. I personally think that waiting for other departments to catch up is ridiculous. There is heavy overpopulation causing many issues, and these same, overpopulated resources are much needed in other places, such as Las Venturas. This also solves many other issues, such as LSPD's large amount of Sergeants, and SFPD's extra Captain.

Proposal for staff of LVPD (Just examples and ideas):

Captain
[WS]Thomas_C

Lieutenant
TeaM_Wayne
[AV]Ben_Samiir

Sergeant
Malcom
[WS]Salmonella
[WS]Tovenaarke
[SACS]SKenney

Senior Officer
Chosen through applications and transfer requests, as well as Command Staff Assignments

Ouch, damn. I suppose my patrol efforts in LVPD mean nothing to make your list even as a Sergeant, Sugar
