ARPD Drill & Ceremonial Team
« on: January 24, 2010, 20:14:37 pm »
ARGONATH RPG POLICE DEPARTMENT
Honor Guard

- - - -

PURPOSE:
To present the flags and rifle showmanship during official gatherings and ceremony. The ARPD Guard bears the honor and integrity of the department by carrying their flags during the opening ceremony of an official event, or otherwise stated by the Chief of Police.

DUTIES:
To learn all movements and commands, how to bear flags and rifles. Duties will include ensuring there is a minimum of FOUR, and a maximum of NINE honor guard INCLUDING a commander, for each official detail.

WHY JOIN THE ARPD GUARD?
To be in the ARPD Guard means you will be among many who have great pride in their department, learn to try new things, and be part of a team of ARPD that instills the most honor in it's members. To be in the ARPD Guard means to represent the department as a whole, to show your pride in the department, and overall represent everything in your character/personality.

HOW DO I JOIN?
Easy, we will be holding trainings every single date below, just show up, or don't show up. Those who do well, will be accepted. Those who do not, are still welcome to attend, however will not be in the ARPD Guard.

WAIT... IS THIS A SUBDIVISION?
No. Subdivision are police specialties or groups that focus on an aspect of law enforcement to encounter crime prevention ad crime rehabilitation. SWAT is more of a subdivision than the ARPD Guard would be.

WHO LEADS THE ARPD GUARD?
The ranks are no different. This is not a subdivision. You are the rank that you are. The team is appointed Commanders, people who have been trusted to be able to do a leadership job, and have shown skill in their area. The rest is the ranks in general. If RoryAnstruther is commanding the ARPD Guard, and an ARPD Command Staff member jumps in trying to take over, well RoryAnstruther has just involuntarily given up command of the ARPD Guard.

HOW WILL THIS WORK?
Lag may make it look different on your screen, but if the commands are followed precisely, then it will match up and be perfect. The focus of the ARPD Guard is to look good, and represent everything that you and your department stand for.

WAIT... DOES THAT MEAN IF MY LAG SUCKS I CAN'T BE IN THE GUARD?
Correct. If your ping/latency is normally laggy, you cannot be in the guard as commands will not be given at the same time as everyone else, and you'd fall behind/get ahead.

WHAT IF MY QUESTION ISN'T HERE?
Private Message a Commander in game or on the forum

Who's in charge of this on MTA:VC and VC:MP then?

And has it been clarified by Chief Ber and Chief Snake as officially part of MTA:VC VCPD and VC:MP VCPD?

I doubt this is needed....

Call it SAPD Guard because its probably only been approved by SAPD (SA:MP) Chiefs

Then don't sign up? It's not needed, but it looks so badass and serious when there's an honor guard present.

And no, the honor guard stands for all of ARPD, including even for FBI Agents who leave comments telling Sergeants what to do or not do.

I never really told you what to do?
I just said you should get approaval by the chiefs of other servers.

"FBI Agents who leave comments telling Sergeants what to do or not to do"
So your saying a sergeant is superior over an FBI Agents? Thats pathetic

You said, specifically "Call it SAPD Guard", and you didn't even recommend getting chief's approval, all you said was what I was to do with it.

And no, I believe what I said was that an FBI Agent was telling an SAPD Sergeant what to do, never did I say that I could command you around or was any more superior than you. I was just simply stating the fact that you were ordering a Sergeant, you're FBI :)

Anyway this isn't an argumentative thread. This thread is for constructiveness and signing up.

I doubt the SAMP FBI director will let the AGENTS join since we can't be in any groups , so this is the reason it should be called SAPD Guard since FBI is part of ARPD , and maybe FBI can't join this.

Your intent to try and make the situation better, isn't really going anywhere....Because its not a SAPD group....Its a idea for a Honor Guard, meaning something like ROTC for Highschools.  If your in america than you know what ROTC does....Its kinda like....You seen a funeral for a soilder correct?  and they have the 21 Gun salute?....Thats the Army Honor Guard, they do special tasks according to the activity in which they're assigned to go to....So if your at a funeral - **Not in any particular order** Flag is folded, Flag is passed to the deceased family(mainly the wife), 21 Gun Salute, Music (not like heavy metal or anything-certain song theyplay), etc etc etc- Its an order like that....So, its not technically a "Group" so much as it is, an idea for a more real-life feel for ceremonies, and such...

The reason we are saying this is because the VC side (both MTA:VC and VC:MP) of the ARPD has nothing to do with this, so why call it ARPD Drill & Ceremonial Team.

One more thing, if your wondering, "you are FBI, why do you need to worry about this", I am still part of the VCPD Command Staff.

Once again I will say this, Argonath is not only SA:MP.

Its possible, but I dont think theyll want it now because
1. VCPD isnt that big yet
2. In 1.2 scripts, more duties will become available

This is what I'm trying to talk about, you haven't discussed this yet with the MTA:VC VCPD Chief or the VC:MP VCPD Chief.

ARPD is a term used to define the Argonath RPG Police Department.. it is a general statement that means any "cop" that is on any server. There is nothing that will say you cannot use ARPD for SAPD or FBI for VCPD and this and that.. this is not court.
