[Suggestion] A /crimelist <id> command
« on: July 14, 2010, 10:41:44 am »
I was just thinking about this whole week about a command like /crimelist. Technically this command should tell you the suspect previous crimes. For example, Let's say Timothy was a bad suspect and he was shooting cops and wanted for murder. Whenever you do /crime <id> it only says wanted for killing so-and-so. But we should have this command to see what there crimes were previously. Like: Evading Traffic Stop, (then) Wanted for Killing TinMan, (then) Kidnapping, etc... I am just thinking that it would help seperate between "Abused and Non-Abused" because of they killed 5 people or suspected by 5 cops more than likely he isn't abused. That is why this command is important. I understand that you could /su <id> Evading, Murder, ETC. But the /crimelist would be helpful on who he murdered and all of that.

Sometimes the suspects come back saying they were abused and there crime is "Evading." Well, the /crimelist <id> can tell you what he done previous and it could determine a jail time and how well they roleplay, as well. Anyway, I believe that this command would be supported and useful.

Useage- Type Command: /crimelist 4:
Timothy Suspected by TinMan for Evading
Timothy Suspected by Harry for Reckless Driving
Timothy wanted for murder.
Timothy Suspected by Goldy for being a crack head

Please post below what you think.

Not realy that bad...

So we can chase the most important criminals first (murder... drugs...) and later the less harmfull crimes (speeding, ...)

I do care about server atmosphere, as a cop and Admin.

No, we don't need anymore fancy commands, SAPD has enough.
Use your imagination, there you can create 100 different commands without having these scripted :)

I think they're going to be quite happy about it, now they can boast how many cops they have killed.

This is a good idea but they would have to Link it with the database or create another and then the log space.... It's a lot of work its not like a DM servers /stats script.

Actually, Would not be that hard. You're crimes could just be printed in to a file, sort of like a history.
Might be a bit too much for the server to fetch and read, But I'm not sure about the new server and what it can handle.

The idea is pretty good but...Be ready for spam in your chat for very old criminals. ONLY if it updates every month or week, whatever, so like: "Crimes commited this month:......"

It's a great idea, it's like taking out database ( www.sasdonline.com/crime/ ) and putting it into play, except that it's script-ran and you can use it in game.

HOWEVER, unlike having an actual database, this would take up a lot of storage room and script functions that I think it would lag the server and cause issues with the script... But I'm not a master scriptor either.

Please post it in the SAMP Ideas section so that non-cops can see it easily.

Personally I see that many will have an issue due to having multiple characters.
For example, they might be a perfectly harmless hotdog salesman, but upon /crimelist inspection they may suddenly be a rapist and a murderer, even though that was a different situation, a "different character", if you like.

I would support if the list was reset when that player dies. This is so it does not interfere with alternate RP characters.

Not like a database thing.
This thing will start only when they are orange suspected they have a list of crimes. Then once they are jailed or killed the crimelist thing will have nothing on there record anymore.

Like the SASD database is also good, it just gives us an idea of what they have done with the past months, days, or years. But this command will just tell you what all they are suspected for and what they have done.

I get it. So it's exactly like /crime, except they can be suspects for more than 1 crime
