That you have to respect everyone probably isnt about ''real'' respect but more to just behave nice to everyone.
Respect itself has got to be earned, but nice behaviour should be directed to everyone!

Doesnt means you have to asslick someone because he has a high rank(what still happens a lot though).
But you should respect him for all he did, as he probably did a lot of good things to earn that rank!
At the other side that doesnt means you shouldnt respect any freecop(ARPD officer nowadays) and
think that the freecops has no idea where he talks about and all.

Don't give me that crap. Read the rules Oliver. You and I both know that respect is NOT earned in Argo, but given to EVERY single player, regardless of who they are.

I can pretend to have respect for you, yes. According to the rules I'm oblidged to do so.
Doesn't mean that people actually respect you and don't talk behind your back.

Last time I checked, the rules didn't say:
- Pretend to respect other players

If you don't agree with a server rule, then leave  ;)

Perhaps the rules say to respect and not to pretend.
But if you say you like and respect everyone then i dont believe you!

Everyone of us has people they hate or at least dont like. But just because of the rank we will act like we do respect them.
While for real we kinde hate the person.

Well, if you're going to pretend, don't be two-faced about it.
As Julio aptly put, you don't need to like someone to respect them.

Think of a Drill Instructor in the Armed Forces...you hate them because of how mean they can be, but respect them because of what they are, and how they respond to situations.

Kenny, ignore what I put in my post about respecting the rank and not you, I actually meant I respect you, but am not impressed with you as an indivdual  ;)

Drill Sergeants are only mean when you f**k up or screw around too much. They don't yell at exceptional individuals for no apparent reason unless they're simply dicks.
The one portrayed in Full Metal Jacket was seriously over the top - those kinds of gunnies are extremely hard to find.

Lol, I'm guessing you saw it yesterday! I don't think he deserved to be shot though...tbf he actually did his job alright... xD

The whole routine with them is to break down your character and build you up again, so yes they do have to be mean, and make you feel bad about yourself...not sure if they do it as much now though.
You do anything wrong, and they are on you like a tonne of bricks, which is enough to make you dislike them, though you still respect what they do.

And that's not up to you to ban someone or not. Still making your own rules? You take existing rules out of their image, to make them look good on you - kinda bad thing, you know?

Actually, I was referring to my own recent incidents. Don't pick fights. You've been warned.

So constructive criticism about someone is against the rules now?

Why the f**k are you asking for respect, when you act so hostile?

Constructive criticism is not talking shit about someone behind their back. It's friendly conversation discussing an issue you have with the person, to that person, in order to find a resolution. He was just plain provoking a fight with me. I suggest you don't encourage it either.

Again this is not about rank  Not sure how many times I need to say this. It's just about being respectful towards eachother instead of provoking and such. To work together without a hitch.

Respect should be given to someone until you find a valid reason for them not to have it. It's worked for me so far.

I honestly don't see what's the damn issue.. you don't need scripts to be respected.

Look at the Montgomery Incident with Ravenwood and SAPD 2 years ago, everybody had fun and respected each other regardless. What happened to that nowadays? It seems people don't care about respect anymore.
