Emergency vehicles and COPS!
« on: September 19, 2011, 22:34:03 pm »
Why is it that cops can pull over medics and firemen when they are responding? Its not right and should be fixed, i got pulled over 2 responding to a fire, Please can you enforce this to the police about NOT pulling over any other emergency vehicles?

Quote from: SugarD
This has been discussed. If they are not responding Code 2/3, Police may treat them just as any other Civilian because they should not be breaking the law. If they are Code 2/3, Police should attempt to contact them over the Emergency Radio prior to taking actions to resolve any possible misunderstandings. If it is still obvious after such an attempt that the Firefighter or Medic is breaking the law, Police can again treat them as Civilians, just like anyone else.

If any of you witness any members of SAFD breaking the law while on duty, (not ARFD Volunteer Firefighters at this time), you may also report them on ARFD forums and I will gladly investigate it for you.

If any of you witness any members of SAPD or ARPD pulling over Firefighters or Medics for no valid reason, and you've attempted to resolve the issue with the officer and failed to do so, you may also report them on ARPD forums and SAPD Command Staff will gladly investigate it for you.

For the record, my quote is from a SA:MP board on Argonath RPG Forums. The same situation applies to all FD's and PD's in other servers too, not just SAFD and SAPD.

The reason this happens is fairly simple:
- There are several people who go on fire duty as if they are civilians and run lights and sirens just to get around (Of course not all)
- New players who don't know that firemen can run C3 to a situation
- Mistrust among agencies because of the first point and generalization

Of course several SAPD are trying to stop this, but the only way to properly rectify the issue is to teach, learn and talk amongst ourselves.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast and fast is lethal.

Remember that him rulebreaking does not make it okay for you to do it back.
